2) STATE FSSAI  FSSAI License For Restaurant REGISTRATION

If the yearly revenue of the food company is higher than Rs. 12 lakhs but less than Rs. 20 crores, the state FSSAI licence is required.

Manufacturing units with a capacity of up to 2 MT per day, dairy units with a capacity of up to 50000 litres per day, 3-star hotels and above, repackers and relabeling units, club canteens, and all catering businesses, regardless of revenue, must apply for a state licence. This licence has a maximum term of 5 years and a minimum tenure of 1 year.

  1. Agreement for Business Premises Rental.
  2. Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card / Driving License / Passport / Voter ID) of the Concerned Person
  3. If any government registration certificates (Company Incorporation Certificate / Firm Registration / Partnership Deed / Pan card / GST Registration Number / Shop and Establishment Registration / Trade License) are required, please provide them.
  4. If the applicant is a private limited company or a partnership business, they must supply a copy of their MOA and AOA or Partnership deed.
  5. At least one of the following certificates is required when applying for a state licence ( Trade license, Shop and Establishment Registration, Panchayath License, Corporation License, Municipality License )

3)CENTRAL  FSSAI License For Restaurant

If the food business’s yearly sales exceeds Rs. 20 crores, a central FSSAI licence is necessary.

Businesses that do not fall into the above two categories must obtain a central licence; importers and exporters must obtain a central licence; and if you have multiple outlets across the country, you must obtain a central licence for your registered address as well as basic state or central licences based on the turnover of each outlet. This licence has a maximum term of 5 years and a minimum tenure of 1 year.

Who need FSSAI registration?

  • Wholesalers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, food vending outlets, hawkers, clubs, canteens, Dhabas, hotels, restaurants, and storage facilities have annual turnovers of less than Rs.12 lakh, between Rs.12 lakh and Rs.20 crores, or greater than Rs.20 crores

Types of FSSAI Licence
